EE has created 5G ‘Pit Stops’ to celebrate its new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate add-on and show off cloud gaming.

Cloud gaming promises more flexibility to play the latest titles whether you’re on your commute (remember those?), on holiday, down the park, or even tucked up in bed. However, the latency with 4G networks – and even most current WiFi networks to some extent – makes the experience more frustrating than enjoyable.

EE eases the pain of returning to London’s rail network with coverage boost

UK completes 5G spectrum auction following two-month delay

EE announces major rural 4G coverage expansion plan

BT-owned EE has announced plans to expand its 4G coverage in more than 500 areas this year to boost rural connectivity.

The expansion is part of the government’s Shared Rural Network (SRN) initiative signed by the UK’s four major operators: EE, Vodafone, O2, and Three.

British mobile operators will be banned from selling locked phones

Telecoms regulator Ofcom has banned mobile operators from selling locked phones after December 2021.

Locking mobiles to specific networks often causes confusion for consumers and prevents them from switching at the end of their contracts.
